An independent professional or firm that reviews and verifies the accuracy and integrity of the fund’s financial statements, typically on an annual basis. In tokenized funds, the audit scope may extend to on-chain records, smart contract code, and token ledger integrity — a practice sometimes referred to as a “smart contract audit” or “blockchain audit.”
