A contractual provision, common in open-end or evergreen funds, that limits the total amount of capital investors can withdraw during any given period. In a tokenized evergreen fund, gate mechanics can be encoded into the smart contract governing token redemptions, automatically enforcing withdrawal limits without manual intervention by the administrator.
