The transaction fee paid by a user to compensate the blockchain network for the computational resources required to process and validate a transaction or smart contract execution. In tokenized real estate platforms, gas fees are a real operational cost that must be considered when designing token issuance, transfer, and distribution workflows. High gas fees on some networks (such as Ethereum mainnet) have led many tokenization platforms to use Layer 2 networks or alternative blockchains with lower transaction costs.
