A type of digital token that grants its holder the right to participate in the governance of a blockchain protocol or decentralized organization, typically through on-chain voting. In regulated tokenized real estate offerings, governance rights are more commonly embedded into security tokens through traditional contractual mechanisms supplemented by on-chain voting tools, rather than through standalone governance tokens.
