Preferred Return (or “Hurdle Rate”)

A minimum annualized return that investors must receive before the GP is entitled to any carried interest. In a tokenized fund, the preferred return accrual and calculation may be tracked and applied automatically by the smart contract’s distribution waterfall logic.
